The Camino is a pilgrimage trail to Santiago de Compostela – but what is the meaning of the Camino? This pilgrimage, also sometimes referred to as El Camino, the Way of Saint James, or simply The Way, means different things to different people.
For our group it probably means different things. An adventure, a challenge, a pilgrimage, a tribute to loved ones, or just a chance to get away from every day normality. We all expect that our definition of the Camino will change as we progress.
People start their Camino all over the world, but the one thing that brings them all together is the last 100 km into the city of Santiago de Compostela, the burial place of Saint James.
Angela and I will be dedicating out Camino to our youngest son James who passed away in 2024
