Our wettest day yet. We delayed starting in the hope it would clear up, but it never did. However it was still a great day, through some beautiful scenery. The old bridge in Arcade is spectacular
Our route. A shorter walk today with a very nice, but slippery path alongside a river.
Everyone had waterproofs today. Cagoules seem to be very popular and were being worn over the top of rucksacks.
Excellent Advice
These grain stores are a common sight across the region. This one dates from 1903. Most of them have a cross or a statue, so look like miniature churches
The tiny Chapel of Santa Marta was built in 1617. Beautifully maintained, but also has a stamp for your pilgrim passport, so very popular.
The river path was an optional diversion. It was great, but a bit slippery due to all the rain.
And finally the sun came out in the afternoon. Pontevedra is a big town, so lots of people were out enjoying the views and the sun. A great end to the day. Only 3 more days to go until we reach Santiago
