Day 1 Porto to Matasinhos

After a 2 hour delay due to fog we arrived in Porto at 10 am. Naviigating the Metro system in a sleep deprived state was interesting, but glad to report we were  booked into our hotel by about 12.30.

A quick bus ride to the Cathedral and after getting a stamp and a photo we were on our way.

8.5 miles along the coast. Lovely weather and a good start to the adventure.

The occasional sign was a good reassurance that we we were on track. We expect to see this sign a lot over the next 3weeks.

It was a little bit like walking  from Ramsgate to Margate, without the smell, or the wind and rain
