We knew this was going to be a long walk, so we left Pete behind and left at 6am when it was still dark.
King Alfonso IX wasn't exactly giving us the thumbs up
Our route. Just under 18 miles and 1500 ft of climbing. A lot of the route was through the forest, but the last section into Vigo along a busy road was a bit of a drag.
Typical track through the woods. Because we left so early we didn't see many other pilgrims.
We often see some nice animals on the route. This horse was very friendly. The cat was indifferent, of course, but beautiful
The Football stadium in Vigo has been built over the original Camino Route, it was quite impressive all the same. We loved this impressive mural on the way into town.
